01/21 New website – this had now been populated and had gone live from the beginning of the year. The transition had proved more difficult than had been anticipated, the Clerk had participated in Lincolnshire County Council’s two-hour training course on two occasions but was still experiencing difficulty. Free support had been offered to Parish Councils via LALC from a retired RAF person with considerable website experience. This had proved extremely valuable as they had populated the website with historical records in addition to proving further training and support to the Clerk.
Since no charge had been made for this work several Parish Councils had suggested that a donation to a charity might be appropriate. LALC had agreed to co-ordinate this and had approached the person providing support to suggest an appropriate charity. His choice of charities was RAF Benevolent Fund and Guide Dogs for the Blind with the money divided equally between the two. Cllr. Gore proposed a donation of £50, seconded by Cllr. Farrow and agreed. The Clerk would notify LALC who would invoice Parish Councils in due course.

02/21 Precept – an estimate of the requirement for 21/22 of £2,000 had been submitted to WLDC in November 2020. Confirmation of the actual amount required had to be submitted by the end of January. It was agreed that this would be confirmed as £2,000.

03/21 Cottage insurance – a renewal notice had been received for insurance on 28 High street (The Parish Cottage) from the NFU. The renewal fee of £297.10 was a slight increase on the previous year but advantage had been taken of a discount for a three year commitment and it was unanimously agreed to pay the renewal fee.
