Annual Parish Council Meeting Wednesday 19th May 2021 at 6:30 in the village hall (to be followed at 7:30 by Annual Parish Meeting)
Agenda
1. Apologies for absence – Clare Cuckson remains shielding until 3 weeks after second vaccination
2. Election of Chair and Vice Chair for forthcoming year
3. Minutes of meetings held on 27th August 2020 and 7th January 2021 – circulated 13/5/21
4. Matters arising;
a) Banking arrangements
b) Clerk’s pay – approve recommended increase to comply with living wage (from £8.50 to £8.91 per hour)
5. Approve 2021 accounts (circulated 10/5/21) and sign off Annual Governance and Accountability Returns (AGAR)
6. Approve general insurance renewal (Zurich) – long term agreement in place until May ’23 premium £290.48 up by 1.3% on last year £286.86. Check listed larger items on policy from list of Parish Council assets prepared for website.
7. Clerk’s Report on progress since last meeting – circulated 17/5/21
8. Correspondence
- Citizens Advice request for donation (December ’20) – £100 donated 14/11/19
- Lincolnshire Lowland Search & Rescue – request for donation, working towards becoming operational, new request
- Police – Rachel Harrison new PCSO for our area and Stephanie Marwood member of new Safer Together team created by PCC. Either or both “happy to have a conversation about how we could work together and discuss any areas of concern”.
- Treescapes Fund Survey – survey to identify sites owned by Paris Councils that could benefit from tree planting in 2021 – short deadline, survey to be completed by 23rd May
9. Any other business
- Footpath between High Street and playing field – overgrown hedges
- Bus shelter Kexby corner – sign knocked down last year, ridge tiles missing, woodwork needs attention.
- Newsletter/magazine – positive feedback, request for large print
- Village notice board – in need of attention
- Neighbourhood Plan
- Asset register/insurance items – as outlined in Clerk’s Report circulated 17/5/21
